Chennai DRAGLC Principal

Principal's Message
On this historic occasion, it is my pleasure to thank the Government of Tamilnadu for the earnest steps to ensure quality legal education to thousands of students aspiring to become lawyers. The Faculty members of the Dr.Ambedkar Govt Law College are committed to impart high quality legal education and to equip the students with the necessary skills to meet the challenges ahead. Thanks to the concerted efforts of the faculty, the students are set to scale greater heights in the years to come. With the unstinted cooperation of the faculty, administrative staff and the students, a very conducive academic atmosphere is being maintained on the campus. Apart from regular classes, our students attend programmes such as practical training in courts, Para legal services, Alternative Dispute Resolution Process, special lectures delivered by High Court Judges, Subordinate Judicial officers and senior lawyers. Further our students have excelled in their education through e-zone studies which has enriched them with latest International legal developments and current judicial pronouncements. The participation of our students in the Moot Court competitions at the State, National and International levels inculcates the skills of advocacy besides bringing so many laurels to the institution. Remedial Coaching classes, under the auspices of the University Grants Commission, are arranged for the benefit of the students. The extracurricular and co-curricular activities such as Youth Red Cross, Free Legal Aid, National Service Scheme, National Cadet Corps, Sports and games, etc., help our students become successful professionals and responsible citizens. I profusely thank Dr. G.Jayachandran, Secretary to Govt, Tamil Nadu and Prof.Dr. S. Narayanaperumal, Director of Legal Studies for their continued guidance for the overall development of the college.
